The fantasy table has now been updated and we are just over ¾ of the way through the season. A quick glance shows us that the table has been neatly divided into six contender teams and 6 also ran teams.
The top half of the table has Dewtastic out in front on 55 points, 3 points clear of the chasing pack of ElBaconi’s Diablos (on 52 points), DR.UNITED and Old Warsonians (both on 51 points.) Mr Average is in 5th with 50 points and Edster’s Dreamteam in 6th on 49 points but still in with a chance at taking the title.
The bottom half (other than Soccer!) are all within 4 points of each other, with Mr Number Nine’s Waitakere Wizards at the front of the lower mini-league on 39 points, followed by The Fools’ Chelski Fools & Ninja Monkeys on 37 points, Forever Fan on 36 and A Stab in the Dark on 35 points.
This Weeks games throw up some good match ups that might shake up the competition.

The Fools have a chance to close the gap on Number nine in the bottom half of the table as Number Nine has to take on second placed El Bacon. El Bacon needs to win that game to keep the pressure on Dewtastic who is likely to take the win in his match up with Forever Fan. Dr United also gets a lower table opponent in Ninja Monkeys and Mr Average getting the wooden spoon bound Soccer!. The big clash is between Eddie and Warsong, with both needing the points to ensure they keep in the race for the title. A loss for Eddie will pretty much ensure he is out of the running for the title, whilst Warsong could possibly take the loss and still be in with a chance, but made just that much harder.
Out of the matches left the interesting fact that stands out in the race for the title is that Dr United has already played all his games against Soccer! which means all the other top 6 teams are likely to get a guaranteed 3 points during one of the remaining rounds, with Mr Average playing him twice (next week and again in week 37.) Â Out of the bottom 6 only Ninja Monkeys and A Stab in the Dark play Soccer!, with Ninjas playing him twice in week 32 and week 38.Â
Finally in the final 8 weeks Dewtastic has to play Average and 2nd and 3rd placed El Bacon & Dr united, all 3 games may decide if the newly wed Dewtastic takes out the title or notÂ

Meanwhile Warsong & Eddie play each other twice, which may be Eddie’s chance to climb to a top 4 position, as he also plays Dr United in that time. Dr United has the easiest time with only having 2 games against top 6 opposition, one of which as just mentioned is 6th placed Edsters Dreamteam and the other is against top placed Dewtastic in week 36. Lastly Mr bacon has the hardest run, having to play 4 games against top 5 opposition, Dewtastic in week 31, Mr Average in week 32, Warsong in week 35 and Mr Average again in the last week
