Now It All Starts

Windies are a team I don’t fear
if we chase our batter will be able to knock off any score against their
bowlers, but if they chase it is a different story. Their lower-middle order
shown a lot of resilience and so a big score is not beyond them. I think the
Tigers gave NZ exactly the sort of game they needed a long chase where they
needed to get runs without Bmac or Kane. I think Corey will be sad he couldn’t
stay till the finish (given that is his role) but Vettori is back to his
reliable best. Taylor looked awful very out of touch. I know he got a fifty but
it is arguably the worst 50 I have seen in ODI cricket.

SL they are the knock out kings.
They’ve won more knockout games in this millennium than any other team On the
SCG pitch ( a proper pitch not a drop in wicket) which is known to take turn
the Saffers will be up against it. I reckon SL bat first get 270 + Sa all out
for less than 190. If South Africa Bat first they need 350 + to take the game
away from SL I think. The big 3 and Angelo Matthews is in good form.

 Almost every theoretical way
Australia should win against Pakistan, yes the Pakistan bowling has improved as
the tournament progressed but Aussie’s bowling line up probably just as good
(barring spin bowling) and the Aussie batting is head and shoulders above
anything Pakistan has shown this tournament. But as NZ showed the Aussie
bowling is vulnerable to the swinging ball, and in Adelaide it will swing. If
Pakistan win the toss I would bat first get 250+ and then bowl under lights in
the dew to Aussies. Bowl full let the ball swing and test the batters. If they
can get Michael Clarke out early anything is possible. IF i were Aus I would
bat first try get 300+ that sort of score is beyond the current Pakistan
batting line up i think.

I don’t think India will have
full crowd support at this game plenty of Bangladeshis are going to Melbourne
and they had a full 2 wqeeks to buy tickets (pretty much after the Scotland
game) knowing where they will be playing. The Indian fans weren’t sure if it
was SCG or MCG. That being said if I were Mashrafe I would go with the winning
formula bat first and defend the score. I’d drop Arafat sunny, there is no
point with going with a spin heavy attack against India. Take 4 pace bowlers
and try and get the ball to swing under lights. India just need to hold their
nerve and not let the pressure get to them. In a weird twist if I Were Mahendra
Singh Dhoni and I won the toss, I would also put Bangladesh into bat first
(India’s bowling has done really well this tournament) and if Bangladesh put up
a big score back your batters to chase anything down.
