Interview with Dewtastic

The Fool: Hi everyone, and welcome to our second interview this year, with this years 3rd placed manager, Dewtastic. Dewtastic was featured in last years interviews as he actually won the competition, but this year has not had the same luck. Anyway, thanks for being here Mr Andrews.
Dewtastic: Thanks for having me again, and I have to say that this years competition was very tough and I am pretty happy with 3rd place.
The Fool: Well that’s good to hear, it is nice to have a real competition going on. Anyway, have anythings changed in the past year that you would like to share with the group?
Dewtastic: Yeah there has been a massive change for me this year, my wife and I celebrated the birth of our first child in March; a little boy who we named Maurice.
The Fool: That is awesome to hear, fatherhood is an enlightening experience. I hope you are able to get some sleep! So, this is your second year in the top 4, do you think you will win the league again next year?
Dewtastic: I am always confident of winning the league. I thought I had a chance this year but unfortunately a couple of key match ups didn’t go my way but I will certainly be back and challenging again next year.
The Fool: Why do you think you slipped to third this year?
Dewtastic: I think that I made a couple of risks early this season with my picks which did not pay off. Last year getting on Vardy and Mahrez early worked whereas this year i had too many early losses that had me playing catch up all season. But that is how it goes sometimes risks pay off and sometimes they don’t.
The Fool: That is definitely true, and you can’t them all unless you have some sort of 1337 H4x. Has the 3rd Annual 9642 Fantasy League changed you in anyway? Or allowed you to improve as a model human being since last year?
Dewtastic: I’m already a model human being! But the only change, according to my wife, is that I now spend too much time on my fantasy team.
The Fool: I guess that can only help in improving your game play for next year, even if it lessens your chances for a second child. Speaking of your living arrangements, are you still living in the city of the future? Has the future come to the tron yet?
Dewtastic: Yup, still living in Hamilton and loving it. The future certainly has reached us… we have an expressway now which is pretty cool.
The Fool: Any new hobbies or interests to report to your legions of fans?
Dewtastic: New interests… not really… well I guess my son is a new interest. He is pretty neat alright.
The Fool: If I remember correctly you indulge in a bit of social football; How is the football season going? Winning everything?
Dewtastic: The football season hasn’t really gone for me this year as I was recovering from a ruptured Achilles. I have recently been given the all clear by the physio but need to get the fitness back for next season.
The Fool: That is horrible, at least you are better now. Hopefully the fitness will return quickly. Keeping on the topic of football tragedies; Do you regret being an Arsenal fan yet?
Dewtastic: I could never regret being an arsenal fan, it’s a great club, always has been and always will be.
The Fool: Spoken like a true fan, a deluded one, but a true fan nonetheless. So now that Arsenal have failed to gain a champions league spot for the first time in like forever, how long do you think Wenger have left at Arsenal?
Dewtastic: Wenger has done wonders for the club, you can’t take away the success he has had. Yes the last few years have been a little frustrating at times and missing out on the top 4 does hurt a little but He has signed on for another 2 years at least so we will see what he brings in the next season and go from there. I personally think unless he wins the league he should leave on his own terms after his 2 years.
The Fool: Interesting view point; but you are right, Wenger has had good sucess in the past, and did manage to secure the FA cup this year, so maybe that has allowed him to have another season or two to see if he can do something. Anyway, enough of the serious stuff, last year we learned that you would be Iron Man out of all the superheros, but this year your fans have been wanting to know which superhero you prefer out of Batman or Superman?
Dewtastic: Batman clearly. A flawed hero is always better than a Mr perfect type.
The Fool: Interesting call and an interesting reason. Finally, do you think that pineapple lumps, jaffas and pinky’s will ever taste the same now they will be made in Australia?
Dewtastic: No, they will be forever tainted with the flavour of kangaroo and koala and claims that dingos ate our chocolate…
